Iran Retaliates Against US, Launches Missiles At American Bases In Qatar, Iraq – Official

PREMIUM TIMES reports that Iran had vowed to retaliate after the US bombed three major Iranian nuclear facilities on Sunday.

Iran has launched missiles at US bases in Qatar and Iraq, Iranian state-run television reports, amidst reports of large explosions in Doha, the Qatari capital.

The effects of the Iranian strikes were unclear at the time of this report but the BBC reports that loud explosions were heard in Qatar where the US has its Al Udeid Air Base.

Earlier, the US and the UK had warned their citizens in Qatar to shelter in place until further notice with the US saying it had reports that Iran would attack its interests in Qatar.

Qatar has also temporarily closed its airspace for all flights.

PREMIUM TIMES reports that the US launched attacks on Iranian facilities on Sunday in support of Israel, whose attacks on Iran started on 13 June.

Hundreds of people have been killed in Iran due to the Israeli attacks, while dozens have been killed in Israel due to Iranian retaliations.
