FCT Minister’s Spokesman Shot In Abuja

Nosike Ogbuenyi, the special assistant on media to the FCT minister, Sen Bala Mohammed was on Christmas eve shot by suspected robbers in Abuja.

The shooting occurred close to Dantata overhead bridge along the Umaru Yar’Adua Way at about 7pm when he was returning from work.

The chief press secretary to FCT minister, Muhammad Hazat Sule, confirmed the incident.

The robbers were said to have shot him at close range on the right leg and took off with his official car, two Samsung handsets, one Windows 7 HP Laptop, two hard disc memory devices, three USB devices, one large photo book, bank documents, two ATM cards and office records.

The robbers are said to have driven in the direction of Gwarimpa-Zuba road through Dantata Bridge with the snatched car, a black colour 2011 model Toyota Corolla salon.

Ogbuenyi is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in the FCT (Daily Post)
