It was an atmosphere of influence and impartation at the just concluded Excellence in Leadership Conference organized by the Daystar Christian Center.
The three-day conference which started on Wednesday, November 5th, 2014 ended today, Friday November 7, 2014 at Plot A3C Ikosi Road, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
The conference theme, “The Exemplary Leader”, exposed leadership secrets, transformed and positioned participants for leadership in all spheres of life.
The Conference was categorized into sessions in which there were general and specialized sessions.
While the general sessions addressed the main theme of the conference, the special sessions took care of inspiring participants to subsequently take practical actions to positively influence the nation in any of the major spheres of influence, namely: Politics, Education, Family, Religion, Media Entertainment, Science /Technology, Economy and Sports.
The purpose of the conference, according to host Pastor Sam Adeyemi was to inculcate sound leadership principles in emerging leaders/participants with the aim of redefining and raising the standard of leadership at all levels.
He added that it was also to persuade all participants that they have the potentials to lead and should begin to do so in their own ways, starting where they are and fulfill “our God-given vision of raising role models in the society.”
The conference featured several seasoned men and women, who pride themselves with being able to break limitations and create positive changes in their chosen fields through exemplary performance with God’s help.
They include, Pastor Sam Adeyemi (Host) Pastor Nike Adeyemi (Host) Pastor Toye Ademola (Special Guest).
Other speakers designated for special sessions included, Pat Utomi (Politics), Praise Fowowe (Family), John Momoh (Media), George Ashiru (Sports), Sam Adeyemi (Religion), Meg Kechi Nwobia (Education), Ibukun Awosika (Economy), Buchi Atuonwu (Entertainment) and Gbenga Sesan (Science & Tech).
The conference represents the sixth in a series of such event and boasts of tremendous success since the last six years, with testimonies of changed lives by numerous participants.
Participants have developed, improved and increased their leadership capacities. This year’s edition was not an exception, according to host pastor Sam Adeyemi.
