Gunmen Kidnap Senior Police Officer In Edo

Gunmen have abducted a serving senior Edo police officer, ASP Clement Amoko.

He was abducted on Sunday morning at his residence, 2, Ohenhen Street, Off Iguikpe road, Useh Quarters, Benin City, Edo State.

The armed men were said to have whisked the officer away in his private vehicle.

A family source said the gunmen had through their victim’s telephone initiated contact demanding a ransom.

ASP Clement Amoko is attached to the State Criminal Investigation Bureau, SCIB, police command headquarters, Benin City.

Contacted, the Public Relations Officer, Edo State Police Command DSP Osaigbovo Princewill confirmed the abduction of the senior officer.
