‘ Election Is A Victory For The People Of Osun’ – Gov. Adeleke

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, who was declared the winner of the poll, called on Oyebamiji and other contestants to put aside their political differences and join hands with his administration in the interest of the state.

Speaking shortly after his re-election, the governor described the election as a victory for the people of Osun, stressing the need for unity and collective efforts towards the development of the state.

Ademola Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, has extended an olive branch to Bola Oyebamiji, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following his victory in the August 15 governorship election, emphasising that there should be “no victor, no vanquished” as the state moves forward.

Ademola Adeleke also revealed that President Bola Tinubu had called to congratulate him even before the final votes were fully tallied.

According to the governor, the President’s gesture demonstrated the importance of putting politics aside and prioritising the peace, stability and progress of Osun State.

Adeleke appealed to all stakeholders, including his political opponents, to support his administration as he begins another four-year term.

He said the renewed mandate provides an opportunity for the people of Osun to work together towards greater development and improved socio-economic conditions across the state.
