2024 Career Day: Oredo Chairman Charges Caregivers On Child Digital Skills

With the world gradually moving away from the traditional career path, the Executive Chairman of Oredo Government Council, Dr. Tom Obaseki has identified the need for parents to train their Children in digital skills, to compete globally.

The Council Chairman who addressed participants at the 2024 Career Day event, themed; “Constructing our Future”, jointly hosted by the Oredo Government Council and Government Education Authority held at Imaguero College said the Careers of Children are very important in nation building.

He encouraged parents and teachers to equip them with more digital education to cut a figure in their career paths that will enable them to meet up with the ever-changing society.

Dr. Tom urged every child of school age to be in school adding that they will be given equal opportunity in Education

While noting that every aspect of the child’s talent is very important, he revealed that preparations were in top gear to launch the Oredo School Games to enable the Council identify the sports talent in them.

Dr. Tom Obaseki noted with appreciation the leadership of the Oredo Local Government Education Authority for their efforts in making the career day possible.
