Husband Of Murdered Wife Seeks Justice As Court Remands 6 Suspects

Benin City, Nigeria – Frank Wakili, the husband of a 36-year-old woman reportedly shot to death at Evbuomama Community in Benin City has appealed to Edo State government and relevant authorities to ensure justice is served in the gruesome murder.

The deceased, Mrs. Vivian Frank Wakili mother of four children was killed in her residence in Evbuomama Community on August 6, 2022 by gunmen who were caught by CCTV.

Mr. Wakili made the appeal while expressing concerns about the failure of the police to apprehend and bring to justice some of the gunmen seen in the CCTV footage.

“The killing of my wife is a pure case of assassination, justice has to be done.

“They killed her in front of her four kids, this should not be swept under the carpet.

“However, since IRT took up the case I am impressed, though they still need to get others on the run”, Mr. Wakili stated.

Meanwhile, a Benin high court has remanded in prison six accused persons including some of the gunmen caught on CCTV camera arrested in connection with the barbaric killing of Mrs. Vivian Frank Wakili, in Benin City.

The all-male suspects are Enoyin Campain, 36, Kingsley Onaiwu,36, Osadalor John,38, and Gabriel Daniel, 25.

Others include Osagie, 40 and Akugbe Idubor, 19.

In two separate charge sheets obtained by our reporter, the suspects were charged and remanded.

“Count II: That you Osagie Abas ‘m’,  Akugbe Idubor ‘m’ and Enoyin Campain ‘m’, Kingsley Onaiwu ‘m’, Osadolor John ‘m’, Gabriel Daniel ‘m’ who were brought to Court for remand in motion NO: B/ CD/2514m/2022 for remand and others now at large, on the 6th day of August, 2022 at Evbuomama Community in Benin City within the Benin Criminal Division, did Murder Vivian Frank Wakili ‘f’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 316 [1] and punishable under Section 319 [1] of the Criminal Code Act, Cap C38, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004”, part of one of the charge sheets stated.
