The joy of every parent usually knows no bound when their children begin to excel in every field of human endeavor.
That was the case when the oldest daughter of His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, Princess (Mrs.) Ikuoyemwen Ewuare Aimiuwu recently paid a thank you visit to her father after being inaugurated by Governor Godwin Obaseki as a member representing Edo South Senatorial District in the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Development Commission (EDSOPADEC).
The Oba of Benin who expressed gratitude to God and the ancestors for the appointment said she was nominated by Governor Obaseki on her personal merit, pointing out that Princess Aimiuwu who is a lawyer specializes in petroleum exploration law and has served with some private firms in the oil and gas industry.
Oba Ewuare prayed for God and the Ancestors to grant her good health, peace and success in the new position.
Earlier, Princess Ewuare Aimiuwu who could not hide her joy thanked His Royal Majesty for always been there for her and her siblings, adding that the advice and guidance received from her father have been the bastion of her successes in so many areas.
She described Oba Ewuare as her role model and who has never led her astray, and promised to always make her father proud.
In another development, the Oba of Benin received the President and members of the Catholic Women Organization, Edo State with a charge to the women to always pray for the peace, progress and betterment of the Kingdom.
Oba Ewuare II said the Palace would always identify with the Catholic Women Organization in the state in order for them to achieve success in whatever they have set out to do.
The President of the organization in the state, Lady Gloria Ngozi Anaedo had commended the Oba of Benin for helping to stamp out the activities of community development association and human trafficking, pointing out that peace has been achieved, while the dignity of women has been restored.
She called on the people to synergize with the Palace in order to tackle the problem posed by human trafficking in the society, assuring that as women organization they will cooperate with the Palace to eradicate the social menace.
Lady Anaedo, while commending the Omo N’Oba for his assistance to the Libya returnees, used the opportunity to request for a parcel of land for farming and other purposes.
