By Igbotako Nowinta, Alltimepost Nigeria Bureau Chief

[dropcap]A[/dropcap] middle-age Edo man, Mr. Julius Osahon Aiwekhoe has appealed passionately to the Benin Monarch, Omo N’oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare 11 to help restore him to the parentage of his father.

In an exclusive interview with Alltimepost in Benin City recently, he claimed that a palace order, fruit of a judgment restoring him to his father’s parentage had not been adhered to by his father.

He disclosed that in November 2012, he took his matter to Oba Erediauwa of blessed memory on a case he had with his family for which a judgment was finally delivered in his favor.

According to Aiwekhoe: ‘‘I never knew my mother, I was deported from Switzerland in 2011. After the deportation I went to my father’s house but was prevented from gaining access to the house by my step mother.

“Everything was done to frustrate me before I took the matter to the Oba’s Palace. At the palace my father was advised to allow me and my siblings to enjoy our paternity since me and my brothers never knew our mother and her family.

“Unknowingly to me then, that was the beginning of my present ordeal and trauma as my step mother and other collaborators orchestrated an assassination plot against me and my siblings, using dare devil cult member. Today I am homeless, unsecure, hungry and being chased around the town by hired thugs’’

Julius Osahon Aiwekhoe therefore appealed to Oba Ewuare II and the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki to intervene to restore him and his siblings to their parentage alleging that the assassination attempt on his life had left him partially blind

Mr. Aiwekhoe lamented thus: ‘‘I came from a polygamous family of five wives; the first wife with 7 children, my mother is second with 2 children, while the third, fourth and fifth wives had one each. I was 5 years old, my brother 3 years old, others 2 years, 9 months and 6 months when our mothers were sent away.

We never knew our real mothers till today. Oba Ewuare II should kindly grant me audience so that I can access and reap the benefits of the judgment delivered by Oba Erediauwa of blessed memory.

Mr. Aiwekhoe alleged that his enemies have blocked every effort he made to seek an audience with the Benin Monarch, including contact with the Benin Customary Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee at the Oba Palace, Benin City.
