BREAKING NEWS… Edo Civil Society Organisations Give 14 Days Ultimatum To The Edo State House Of Assembly, Government And Commissioner Of Police

[dropcap]E[/dropcap]do Civil Society Organisations Give 14 Days Ultimatum To The Edo State House Of Assembly, Edo State Government And The Edo State Commissioner Of Police To Put An End To The Incessant Killings And Kidnapping In The State.

Following the sudden rise of crime like the kidnapping of Mr. Andrew Ehanire that lead to the killing of three (3) police officers, the abduction of Amb. Osayemore Joseph in which his wife sustain gun shot injuries and currently battling for her life and the failed kidnap attempt of a professor of the University of Benin that lead to the loss of his life, the attention of the EDOCSO for the Edo people has been thrown and thus call on the trio above to make necessary steps to put an end to the HIGH LEVEL OF INSECURITY IN THE STATE if not a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE SHALL BE PASS ON THEM

Our concerns is that if these issues are not handle as an emergency, it may snowball to a situation that will finally kill the socio-economy livewire of the state, citizens migration due to uncertainty, relocation of businesses and even a major threat to foreign investment prospects as being canvassed by the present administration.

I want to say here that it is the common man that is being affected, exposed to death and threat to life, Edo State is our own and we will not fold our hands and watch our leaders and the security agencies failing to keep their responsibility as imbibed in the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH✊
