Sapele Okpe Community Gets New Exco

An Interim executive has been constituted to pilot the affairs of the Sapele-Okpe community for a specific period of time.

The new Exco according to its secretary, Chief Godfrey Dafinone was recently constituted by His Royal Majesty (HRM) Orhue 1, MNI, CFR, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom in his palace at Orerokpe in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State on July 30, 2016.

Chief Dafinone while briefing newsmen at the Sapele Okpe Community secretariat asserted that the Orodje gave them an outstanding mandate of reconciling the various factions and withdrawing all court cases in order to foster unity, peace, progress and bring development to the community.

The Secretary added that the Orodje saw the need for a change and invited Chiefs and other stakeholders which led to the dissolution of the Hon. Moses Ogodo-led executive and an interim administration was immediately constituted.

Meanwhile, the new Chairman of Sapele Okpe community Mr. Anthony America Ayomanor has expressed satisfaction at the manner in which he was appointed with special thanks to the Orodje of Okpe kingdom.

Ayomanor who promised to run an open door policy, told journalists that he will not disappoint the Orodje and the good people of Sapele Okpe Community, adding that he will improve on the successes recorded by his predecessor and do the needful by ensuring that Sapele-Okpe Community gets to an enviable height.

The new members of the executive included, Mr. Anthony America Ayomanor as Chairman; Chief Godfrey Dafinone, Secretary; Henry A. Temiagin Treasurer; Mr. Victor Abeke, Financial Secretary and Mr. Akeroye Abeye Youth leader.

Others included, Mr. Eboh James, Spokesman; Mr. Roland Onomor, Chief whip; Hon. Prince Ogodo, member; Mr. Godwin Ayomanor member; Mr. Frank Okotie member and Mr. Onofuovure William member.

They are to assume office with immediate effect.
