Daystar Sets The Pace For Servant Leadership

Alltimepost.Com, Lagos, Nigeria – Lagos State experienced an atmosphere of impartation and influence at the just concluded Excellence in Leadership Conference organized by the Daystar Christian Center.

The three-day conference which started on Wednesday, November 4th, 2015 ended today, Friday November 6, 2015 at Plot A3C Ikosi Road, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.

The theme of the conference, “Servant Leadership”, raised and positioned participants for servant leadership in all spheres of life.

The Conference was categorized into sessions in which there were general and specialized sessions.

The general sessions addressed the main theme of the conference, while the special sessions took care of inspiring participants to be servant leaders by taking practical steps to serve the nation in any of the major spheres of influence, namely: Government, Education, Social, Religion, Media, Entertainment, Science /Technology, Economy and Sports.

The purpose of the conference, according to host Pastor Sam Adeyemi was to raise servant leaders and inculcate sound leadership principles in emerging leaders/participants with the aim of redefining and raising the standard of leadership at all levels.SamAdeyemi2

Highlights from the conference read thus: “Everything changed when God told me to focus on the church members and not myself.”, “Prepare to serve people who are different from you.”, “If God is going to use you, you must be flexible.”, “Complicating people’s life to show it’s not easy, is not service.”, “it’s one thing for you to have good technical skills, but without character, you’re absolutely nothing.” – Pastor Sam Adeyemi.

“The biggest inventory is now the inventory of the mind.” – Femi Adeoti.

The conference featured several seasoned men and women, who pride themselves with being able to break limitations and create positive changes in their chosen fields through servant leadership performance with God’s help.

The conference represents the seventh in a series of such event and boasts of tremendous success since the last seven years, with testimonies of changed lives by numerous participants.

According to Corruption Freeland (CF), this year’s edition of the Excellence in Leadership Conference challenges participants to be servant leaders, as “SERVICE TO HUMANITY LEADS TO GREATEST.
