EFCC Nabs Seven Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Edo

Operatives of the Benin (Edo State) Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, January 14, arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, Edo State.

The Head of Media and Publicity for EFCC, Dele Oyewale, said the suspects were arrested based on credible intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud.

According to him, items recovered from them include one Lexus car, laptops, and phones.

He added that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The anti-graft agency has been active in its efforts to sanitise the system in recent times with the arrest of internet fraudsters across the country.
