Anti-impeachment Protest Erupts In Ado Ekiti

Reports reaching our news desk say a massive protest has erupted in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, against moves by a faction of the State House of Assembly to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose over allegations of gross constitutional breaches.

Sources say there is high presence of heavily-armed security operatives in strategic locations in the town, while entry routes have been blocked and taken over by security operatives.

It is also reported that some of security agents had been stationed around the House of Assembly complex.
