Drama As Obasanjo Avoids Jonathan At Shagari’s 90th Birthday Celebration

The ongoing war between former president, Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan took a dramatic dimension yesterday during the 90th birthday celebration of ex leader, Shenu Shagari in Sokoto as the Ota farmer outrightly avoided the president.

It was gathered that Obasanjo arrived when President Goodluck Jonathan was inside Shehu Shagari’s house but refused to come out of his vehicle until Goodluck Jonathan had finished and left.

Those present could not stop laughing as the former president was repeatedly poking his tongue at them from inside his vehicle.

Also present at the event were, former head of interim government, Ernest Shonekon as well as ex heads of state, Generals Yakubu Gowon, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Obasanjo and Jonathan have been at loggerheads following the former’s constant attacks on his government.

Obasanjo did the unimaginable recently after he tore the membership card of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, under which he served as president for eight years.(Daily Post)
