The House of Representatives on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs as requested by President Bola Tinubu.
The confirmation followwd the consideration of the report of the ad hoc committee that screened the appointees headed by Hon. Babajimi Benson and comprised all Principal Officers of the House.
The House confirmed Major-General Christopher Gwabin Musa as Chief of Defence Staff, Major-General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja as Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel lkechukwu Ogalla as Chief of Naval Staff and Air Vice Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar as Chief of Air Staff.
The House Committee had on Monday screened four appointees following the request forwarded to the House by the President.
The Senate had earlier cleared the appointees who will now be decorated with the new rank by the President.
