Apresident Jonathan Confirms Suleiman Abba As New Police IG

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday confirmed Suleiman Abba as substantive Inspector General of Police.

The President’s media aide, Dr. Reuben Abati made this disclosure via his Twitter handle @abati1990 on Tuesday.

According to him, “At Police Council meeting today, President Jonathan confirmed Suleiman Abba as substantive Inspector General of Police.”

It could be recalled that Abba was appointed the acting IGP on August 1 after the retirement of the ex police chief, Mohammed Ababakar.

He is the country’s 17th indigenous police boss.
