Akure – Niger Delta Meeting: Obaseki Receives Osinbajo In Benin

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on Tuesday, at the Benin Airport, received the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who attended the second National Council on Niger Delta meeting in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Osinbajo, who was accompanied on the visit by the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, was received by several members of the Edo State Executive Council, including the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu, Head of Service, Mrs. Gladys Idahor, and the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Prof. Mrs. Yinka Omorogbe.

The Vice President delivered the key note address at the second National Council on Niger Delta meeting, after which he met with communities in the coastal area of Ondo State.

Osinbajo, in his tour of the coastal communities in the state, shared the federal government’s vision for the Niger Delta region.

He has since returned to Abuja.
