The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Mr. Victor Edoror, and his Deputy, Mr. Bright Osayande, have been impeached by lawmakers in the state, who accused them of misconduct.
The two principal officers were impeached by 16 members of the House today, who claimed they have followed due procedure.
Mrs. Elizabeth Ative has been elected as the Speaker.
