Edo State House of Assembly Ad-Hoc Committees on the Controversial Museum of West African Art (MOWAA) and the Radisson Blu Hotel have submitted their reports, formally recommending that the Edo State Government repossess both properties.

The committees, in separate findings presented to the Assembly, stated that the land titles and funding for the two projects are vested in the Edo State Government, raising serious concerns over ownership, management, and control of the assets.

According to the reports, the circumstances surrounding the acquisition, development, and administration of the projects require urgent government intervention to safeguard public interest and state resources.

The submission of the reports is expected to trigger intense debate within the Assembly and prompt decisive action by the executive arm of government in the coming days.

Sources at the Assembly disclosed that the recommendations would be subjected to further legislative consideration before being transmitted to the state government for implementation.

The development has already generated widespread public interest, with stakeholders keenly awaiting the state government’s response to the Assembly’s position.

More details are expected.
