Persons Escorted Out Of Plane Believed To Carry Maduro, Wife Under Cover Of Darkness

People believed to be Nicolás Maduro and his wife were escorted off a plane under the cover of darkness late Saturday after the aircraft landed at Stewart International Airport, according to Fox News reporting.

There has been no official confirmation yet identifying the passengers, but Fox News Digital is reporting that the individuals removed from the aircraft are Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

Video from a news helicopter operated by WNYW shows law enforcement activity on the tarmac as the plane arrived.

Authorities are now awaiting a transfer to a nearby helipad, where the people are expected to be moved for onward transport.
