BENIN CITY – The Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gbenga Agun, is dead.
Agun slumped on Thursday at an event in Benin City after delivering a keynote address and was billed to receive an award of excellence.
Our correspondent who was at the event said Agun was rushed to the Military Base Hospital on Airport Road where he was confirmed (BID) on arrival by the doctor on duty. Efforts to revive him after he slumped with a first aid by the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council and a former Edo State Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Mr Festus Alenkhe before he was rushed failed to yield the desired result
