Senatorial By-elections: Edo Voters Thrilled By Early Arrival Of Materials As Voting Commences In Ewatto

Voting commenced early with the arrival of materials at Idumu Iyasele Primary School, Ewatto  Ward III units 4 and 11 in Esan South- East LGA of Edo State as voters were thrilled to exercise their voting rights amid heavy presence of security personnel.

According to 70-year-old Pa. Victor Enajie, materials arrived his polling unit 4 at about 7:30 am and he was pleased with the ease of the process.

His words: “Materials came early about 7:30 am. I came and was accredited, and I have voted. It was good and smooth.” He stated.

In similar vein, Mr. Emmanuel Ehidiamen commended INEC for the peaceful process, saying that “this is how election should be conducted in Nigeria.

“I voted in unit 11 and the election as you can see here is going well. I also commend the security personnel for being on ground”, said Ehidiamen

An INEC official who refused to mention her name said the process is seamless as they have no issues with network failures and all machines are working perfectly.

Voters at the two polling units came out as early as 7;00 am and conducted themselves in orderly manners with the elderly lining up as some searched for their names in the voters register while security personnel looks on.
