EDHA Confirms Kassim Afegbua, Six Others As Commissioners

Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA)  has screened and confirmed Prince Kassim Afegbua, Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponmwosa, and six others as Commissioners in the Governor Monday Okpebholo-led administration.

‎Other commissioners confirmed include Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, Barr. Nosa Adams, Felix Akhabue, Godwin Eshieshi, Ohimai Ehijimetor and Eugenia Abdallah.

‎The development followed Governor Okpebholo’s letter to the Assembly, requesting the screening and confirmation of the nominees as Commissioners.

‎The Chairman of the Assembly-led screening committee, Hon. Jonathan Aigbokhan, presented the report of the committee on the screened nominees at plenary on Wednesday for the legislators consideration.

‎The committee chairman in his report described the nominees as experienced, competent, and professionally qualified to be confirmed as commissioners.

‎Consequently, the House confirmed the nominees as Commissioners after a unanimous voice vote.

‎The Speaker of the House, Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, admonished the commissioners to work in synergy to ensure that the governor succeeds and also accord the assembly its respect.
