Emir Tussle: Sanusi Reclaims Palace, Dethroned Bayero Moves To Guest House

Tension is now in Kano as both the reinstated deposed Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi took over the Emir palace, while the dethroned Emir Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has moved into the emir’s guest house (Gidan Nasarawa) in the ancient town.

The state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, with all state government officers now relocated to the Emir’s palace

However, there were heavy security personnel across all the nooks and crannies of the state.

As of now, the Emir of Kano, Malam Lamido has come out, with traditional title holders with him to the open space located at the Emir’s palace

The security personnel who were with the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Husaini Gumel and other security operatives were still at the police headquarters, still holding a meeting

As of the time of filling this report, heavy tension has now taken over the state capital, over who amongst the two Emirs are to step down based on the existing court order of the Federal high court, which stipulated that the status- quo should be maintained.
