Bishop Samuel Omede, a former Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State has been appointed to chair the Labor Party’s, LP’s campaign committee for the 2024 Edo Gubernatorial election.

He was inaugurated alongside Hon. Richard Edosa, a member representing Oredo East Constituency, and five other members during the party’s ceremony at the secretariat in Benin City on Wednesday.

Comrade Kelly Ogbailoi, the State Party Chairman, representing the National Working Committee, charged the newly inaugurated members to live up to expectations and deliver the party to victory.

He emphasized the need for unity within the party and accountability in their leadership roles.

In his acceptance speech, Bishop Omede expressed gratitude to the party for entrusting him with the responsibility and pledged to discharge his duties diligently.

He appealed for support from all party members to achieve the tasks ahead and urged aggrieved members to unite and work together to overcome common challenges and enemies of the people.

This development marks a significant milestone in the LP’s preparations for the 2024 Edo Gubernatorial election, and Bishop Omede’s leadership is expected to bring a new dimension to the party’s campaign strategy.
