Panic In Benin As Gunmen Kidnap Edo PDP Chairman

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the Edo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Tony Aziegbemi in Benin City. 

It was gathered that Aziegbemi was trailed and whisked away near his private residence at Odaro Street, off Country home road, Sapele road, Benin City, about 10:57pm, last Friday.

The kidnappers were said to have operated in two Toyota Corolla cars.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relation Officer, Edo  State, SP Chidi Nwabuzor said “the Commissioner of Police has given marching orders to the tactical teams of the operatives to go after the hoodlums and we pray that by the grace of God all hands are on deck and we will be able to rescue him unhurt.”
