Kidnapped Edo Lawyer:  NBA, NUJ Challenge Police To Rescue Victim Unhurt

A joint Committee of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists, Edo State Council, and the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Benin Branch, is challenging the security operatives in the state to swing into action and rescue an attorney, who was recently kidnapped.

The victim identified as Joshua Oseluanamen Anebuokhae was said to have been abducted by his host, on September 15, 2023, along Asaba Road.

The appeal for rescue was contained in a joint statement made available to the press on Monday, in Benin City, by the Chairman, of the NUJ Committee on Legal matters, Comrade Eben Enasco, and Festus Osagie, Usiobaifo, who also doubles as the Publicity Secretary of the NBA Benin Branch.

Recall that the Executive Committee of the NBA, Benin branch, led by Nosa Francis Edo-Osagie in an earlier statement released informed the public that a member of the legal profession, Joshua Oseluanamen Anebuokhae was kidnapped by unknown gunmen along Asaba Road in Delta state.

According to the statement, the Chairman is in smart touch with the Police and other relevant security agencies to ensure that Joshua, an Alumnus of Ambrose Alli University is released unhurt.

The statement further encouraged members of the public to pray for his safety as the search for his release continues.
