Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria – A 20-year-old girl has been hospitalized for a strange life-threatening virginal ailment after sleeping with her family friend in Benin City.
The ugly incident occurred in a guest house at Idogbo, the administrative headquarters of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.
The suspect, Obode (other names withheld), 24 years old invited the girl, Usunnobun to the lodge where they drank alcohol before engaging in sexual intercourse.
The girl slept off after the act and woke up the following day to see her private part puffed out from her pelvic floor while the boy was nowhere to be found.
The Commissioner of police in Edo State CP Mohammed Dankwara said the suspect was arrested following a report made to police by the father of the girl, one Mr. Johnbull Alade.
CP Dankwara further stated that the victim’s father laid the complaint on August 20, 2023 as the police swiftly rushed “the victim to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital where she is currently on admission”.
The CP also said that the suspect, having invited his victim to his room in the lodge mixed some substances and gave her to drink and she slept off, afterwards.
“He will soon be charged to court for rape, indecent assault against a female and wounding”, the police chief stated.
The suspect, Obode, admitted to have invited the girl to his room in the lodge having known her for two weeks through his friend who is her family friend as he Obodo lives in the same neighborhood with the girl.
“I didn’t rape the girl, she is my girlfriend, I invited her to my lodge where we had direct sexual intercourse, that was early April.
“I only drank Black Bullets and I bought Campari for her. That was our first meeting. I travelled since.
“When I returned three weeks ago her family member called me to say that I used her sister for money rituals when I made love to her. I said I didn’t and that we only had sex.
“I am still shocked by her swollen private part in the photo. I am an electrician and she said she is an apprentice. I am innocent. I just thanking God today that she is responding to treatment”, the suspect narrated.
