Edo Assembly: Aiguobarueghian, Natasha Become Majority Leader, Deputy

Member Representing Ovia North East Constituency one at the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon Charity Aiguobarueghian is the Majority Leader of the State 8th Assembly.

His new task as a principal officer was announced by the Speaker, Rt Hon Blessing Agbebaku during Plenary on Tuesday, on the floor of the House.

The Member Representing Egor Constituency, Hon  Natasha Osawaru was also announced as the Deputy Majority Leader of the House.

RT Hon. Agbebaku who informed the House of the move to elect principal officers, urged them to build on the existing relationship with other members to enhance quality legislative representation.

Responding to the new task, Hon Charity Aiguobarueghian hailed the resilience of the speaker and his colleagues for the faith reposed on him.

Aiguobarueghian, however, noted that despite the weighty task, he was prepared to work assiduously to accomplish the resolve of the house in ensuring dividends of democracy are felt by those who trusted them with their votes. 

The House, however, adjourned Plenary till July 10, 2023.
