Below is his post-award message:

On behalf of my family, I wish to express my profound gratitude for the accolades, congratulatory messages and support from professional colleagues, friends and well-wishers on the award bestowed on me by the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) at the last convention held in New York City.

With over 5,000 great professionals and members of this Association, It was indeed a great honor to be recognized, nominated, and given this award of exceptional contribution to this noble association.

I wholeheartedly accepted the award and dedicated it first to my dear wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Awawu Igbinadolor, for her strong belief in ANPA and for encouraging and joining me to contribute to the realization of the ANPA goals and objectives.

Secondly, I dedicated this award to the founders of ANPA for their selfless and noble ideals and vision. Finally, I dedicated the award to all citizens of Nigeria whose health and wealth ANPA is set to promote.

Since 1995, this association has kept to its vision of ensuring “a healthier Nigeria in a healthier world” and has continuously pursued its mission of “identifying and stimulating interest in all matters affecting the health of Nigerians and providing the forum for debating evolving health issues in search for solutions.”

Having come this far as an association, we can only go farther in selfless service to our fatherland and to the society in general.

Permit me to express my profound gratitude to all past and present leaders and associates of ANPA and everyone who has always been a part of the ANPA project. It is always a pleasure to be a member of a progressive, selfless, and professional association like ANPA.

Each time we must undertake a health mission or project, I am always delighted as I see it as my little way of contributing to the wealth and health of my fellow human beings, especially Nigerians.

My sincere gratitude to you all for the tremendous understanding and encouragements that have throughout enabled us to put in the efforts and all-time dedication for the attainment of wonderful things for ANPA. Working together and seeing such wonderful outcomes is exceptionally wonderful and makes one feel content.

Once again, thanks to ANPA for making it a special and memorable one for me.

Greatest UNIBEN, Long live ANPA and GOD Bless the Nigeria and the United States of America.
