History Made As ENAW Elects Bose Ogbeifun-Oviasu First Female President

History was recently made when Edo-born businesswoman and Philanthropist, Engr. (Mrs.) Bose Ogbeifun-Oviasu was elected the first female president of Edo umbrella organization in the Diaspora, known as Edo National Association Worldwide (ENAW).

Engr. Oviasu is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Trustcare Group Homes Inc. in Michigan, United States of America.

The election which took place on Saturday April 2, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America was conducted by a committee led by Dr. Lantis Osemwengie, President of Edo Cultural Association of Las Vegas, the host of ENAW convention coming up in the summer of 2022.

Others elected in the keenly contested election included, Public Relations/Welfare Officer, Mr. Aimiuwu; Secretary, Mr. Ogbebor; Women Affairs Coordinator, Mrs. Obasohan (reelected) and Chairman, Council of Presidents (COP), Mr. Charles Oviawe.

Returned unopposed were Dr. Peter Atakpu (National Treasurer); Dr. Osagie Igbinosun (National Cultural Director) and Dr. Rosemary Obanor (National Financial Secretary).

All officers will take the oath of office at the forth-coming convention of the organization to be held in Las Vegas.
