The Meaning Of Vladimir Putin’s Madness In Ukraine

By Igbotako Nowinta

Until the third world countries and leaders summon the courage to challenge the superpowers to urgently democratize the process of things in the United Nations – a sinister anachronistic system that places the fate of the whole world in the hands of a few, because of their ability to amass the weapon of annihilation, the entire human race is doomed. This is the meaning of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin’s madness in Ukraine. Like Adolf Hitler who sought and unleashed the Second World War on mankind knowing fully well that he could manipulate the then League of Nations into submission, Vladimir Putin is putting his bloody fingers on Ukraine, trying to desperately re-enact the lost glory of the defunct Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, because he knows the resolutions of the international body is tantamount to a useless action before his veto power in the United Nations Security Council today. Giving the current tragic reality in Ukraine and the catastrophic human disaster (with over two million refugees in Europe) that is starring the whole of Europe and the very human race in the face, it is very clear that the First and the Second World Wars were fought in vain. Because of inordinate economic greed, power and selfishness of the world leaders in 1919 and 1945, one of the most horrible turning points in recent history is playing out today in Europe. It is sad that the United Nations Security Council as it stands today is a grand mockery of the principles of democratic rights of nations. A heartless egoistical tyrant with a political agenda is now on the loose against Ukraine, because he is stewing about the collapse of the Soviet Union, and he is ready to sacrifice Russian soldiers and economy. As the United States and its allies are trying to stop Putin, which is a welcome development, other nations without atomic powers must come out and speak out stridently now. The entire instrumentality of the United Nations Organization, especially the Security Council, initiated by Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt and other victorious allied personalities in 1945, must be revisited, altered and democratized in the interest of sustainable global peace.

As the news of horror is constantly pouring in from Ukraine daily, it has become more imperatively significant to analyze the meaning of Vladimir Putin’s madness, in that unfortunate country.

When Adolf Hitler committed suicide inside the deep Chancellery bunker in Berlin in April 1945, in a desperate orgy to avoid the allied forces, he was wearing the ‘lron Cross First Class’.

What is the Iron Cross First Class? Hitler earned the Iron Cross First Class for uncommon bravery which he displayed during the First World War fighting under the German Flag.

Adolf Hitler was born in Austria. The son of a retired Customs Officer, he had to migrate to Germany because of the insatiable love he developed for Germany.

As a youth he wanted to be a great architect/artist, but he failed miserably. The First World War afforded him the opportunity to be a soldier. No wonder Hitler cherished his ‘Iron Cross’ till the last moments of setting himself ablaze.

The humiliating orders that were handed to Germany at the Treaty of Versailles, France, after the end of the First World War gradually became the launching pad for Adolf Hitler’s extraordinary hunger for politics in Germany.

How was Germany humiliated? The Treaty of Versailles, France, tore the German nation naked in 1919: Article 231 placed ‘War Guilt Clause’, which bent the German nation down to accept complete responsibility for initiating the First World War; Germany lost its overseas territories; was demilitarized to crush his army; was forced to pay compensations which amounted to 6 billion pound sterlings; it lost 10th of his territories etc.

With Germany flushed down and despised, Adolf Hitler swore privately to restore the lost glory of the country. He had to activate his inherent oratorical talents to create the National Socialism (NAZI) and released it on the German people; he secretly rearmed Germany after he got supreme political power in 1933.

When he invaded Poland in September 1939, it was payback time; when he heavily bombarded the British Parliament day and night, and tried desperately to seize France, he was simply on a revenged mission.

Hitler’s career left behind no legend, only a sense of horror, it was great but revolting. He was a political genius, but it was formed in the gutter. Judgements are fallible in the light of prosperity, but this fact is not likely to prove so.

For sixteen years, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was a Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti (KGB) agent for the defunct Soviet Union. The KGB means the Committee for State Security, Foreign Intelligence and Domestic Security Agency of the Soviet Union, which later became the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

Born to poor struggling parents, Putin succeeded in reading law at St Petersburg University, he started a career as a KGB agent. It was after the Soviet Union collapsed on Christmas day 1991, that Vladimir Putin decided to resign from his first great career love.

Putin in 1991, decided to go into partisan politics after his desires in the KGB had crumbled into the dust, within the defunct Soviet Union. As an incredibly ambitious guy, who had planned carefully his path to a successful political career, he knew where to plug himself.

What led to the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR)? Mikhail Gorbachev became the leader of the Soviet Union in 1985, a Communist State which was created by the blood and sweats of indelible Comrades likes Vladimir Ulanoy ( known as Nikolai Lenin), Leon Trotsky, Joseph Stalin etc.

Mikhail Gorbachev’s decision to allow general elections with multi-party system, which created a Presidency for the country, began a slow process of democratization which eventually destabilized decades of  razor sharp communist control, and contributed immensely to the disintegration of the Soviet Union.

Thus, Mikhail Gorbachev became a leader without a country when his twin policies of Perestroika (Restructuring) and Glasnost (Openness) consumed him and his political office in 1991, but opened the Communist empire to a free market economy.

Earlier in 1989, Gorbachev’s intoxicating political reforms had led to democratic revolutions in Soviet Union’s controlled Eastern Europe; thus the ‘Iron Curtain’ that divided Europe since 1945 was torn to pieces.

Boris Yeltsin became a super Russian hero when he stood on top of armored tanks in Moscow in August 1991, and succeeded in stopping a return to full-fledged Communist rule via a coup which was staged by Communist military/civilian hardliners against the reformist Mikhail Gorbachev.

Because of that uncommon historic move, Boris Yeltsin became the first beneficiary of Russian Federation, when he emerged President of the Russian Federation in July 1991.

Plagued by ill-health, Boris Yeltsin managed to hold fort till December 1999, as he relinquished presidential power to a man who had dreamt of acquiring supreme political power in the Russian Federation: Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

When Vladimir Putin said that the collapse of the USSR was: “the greatest catastrophe of the 20th Century”, he was boiling with anger and bitterly regretting the demise of an ‘Empire’ which he had served to the tilt as a KGB super-agent.

As soon as he succeeded Boris Yeltsin, Vladimir Putin’s greatest dream had come to past. He would do anything to hold on to power or remain within the corridors of power. Since 1999, Putin has not looked back.

A ruthless uncompromising operator, he had studied carefully how Joseph Stalin plotted his way to supreme political power in the Soviet Union, after the demise of Comrade Lenin.

In Russia Vladimir means: ruler of the earth, therefore, he has secretly nursed the desire to be a global political vampire.

In a closed door elite political process which has placed him at the center of state and party in the Russian Federation, Putin has spent years consolidating power and carefully saw the removal of the Constitutional terms limits on the presidency; he will be President till 2034, except the unexpected happens.

Today he is more or less the State himself, as opposition leaders are being hounded into jail and eliminated; playing the Joseph Stalin’s book, the heaviest propaganda and terror is being unleashed on the Russian people.

Like Adolf Hitler, Putin is a sick dictator, an illusionary bloodthirsty, confused mass exterminator, who is ready to sign economic death sentence for Russian Federation on the global market, as crazy economic counter attacks are rolling out today from the Kremlin, to cushion the effects of global economic sanctions.

Like Hitler, who never forgave the prime actors of the Treaty of Versailles. Putin has not forgiven Mikhail Gorbachev for assisting the United States to bring down the Soviet Union, tearing it to shreds. Just like Hitler who embraced a political career to actualize his demented dreams, Putin has succeeded beyond his wildest imaginations.

The evidence of his political bloodthirstiness has been there. Putin sent troops to Georgia to support the breakaway region; he has been in Syria to prove a bloody political point against the west; he invaded Eastern Ukraine in 2014 and grabbed Crimea; today he has recognized Donetsk and Luhansk Republics in Eastern Ukraine. Putin is turning Ukraine into a calabash of blood and chaos.

His current murderous swagmire and bloody operation in Ukraine using the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) flirtation with President Volodymyr Zelensky as one of the excuses, was one of his premeditated viperous political cards to tell Western powers that he is a living prosecutor of the mightiness of the defunct Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).

In trying to rewrite the accepted geopolitical reality of the last 30 years, he has to dispense his tapestry of falsehoods and false realities against Volodymyr Zelensky’s Ukraine, as a classic expansionist autocrat.

In using ethnic justification and false claims against President Volodymyr Zelensky, we are all horrified at the way things have turned up.

That is not to say here that the United States and its NATO crowd are absolutely correct about their political agenda across the world today. It must be made very clear that Putin is alone in his current horrendous disaster to restore Russian power at all cost.

Just like what Joseph Stalin did during his indescribable horror in the then Soviet Union. This man is ravenous for blood. The press in Russia is being squeezed in an unprecedented manner; there has been reported mass resignations at the Russian State Television; massive protests by Russians against his ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine is swelling by the day; the Russian Federation is being isolated economically.

Putin’s current madness in Ukraine would not have developed at all if he knew that a United Nations Organization has the steady sharpened teeth to bite him to pieces.

Until the third world countries and leaders summon the courage to challenge the superpowers to urgently democratize the process of things in the United Nations – a sinister anachronistic system that places the fate of the whole world in the hands of a few, because of their ability to amass the weapon of annihilation, the entire human race is doomed.

If this is not achieved a replica of Adolf Hitler may surface in China or somewhere within the super powers, sooner than later, just like what  Putin is dishing out today in Ukraine.

When Putin took a walk into darkness by invading Volodymyr Belinsky’s Ukraine, he did not know that he might perish in its flames; but he knew Russian has the veto power to dare the world.
