BY BOB MAJIRI-OGHENE ETEMIKU, OUR ABUJA CORRESPONDENT

Popular Superstore (NEXT), located in Jahi, a district in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja has gone in flames.

Alltimepost.com has been unable to verify suspicions or gotten word from the police that arsonists are involved in the incident which took place today (Boxing Day).

Videos from eyewitnesses reveal that there is next to nothing left of the massive superstore, rumored to be owned by Peter Obi, former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A month before this incident when Alltimepost.com visited the Superstore, it was filled up with eager customers shopping for the Christmas season.  There were sophisticated cameras mounted at strategic points of the superstore.

There has been massive looting since the fire outbreak, and there was little or no presence of fire fighters at the scene of the inferno when this report was filed.

Two days before the Sunday incident, Alltimepost.com reported that soldiers and police including civil defence personnel combed the city for terrorists seeking to wreak havoc on the nation’s capital.

At the time of sending this report, the cause of fire had been unknown.
