Edo State Chairman of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi has called on Politicians and other interests groups who are agitating for “Esan Agenda” under the present administration to sheathe their swords as the Party will address the issue at the appropriate time.

“The Esan Agenda aims to produce an indigene of Edo Central Senatorial District as Governor at the expiration of the tenure of the present Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki. “

Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi made the passionate appeal at the inauguration of a special committee to develop a blueprint for the marking of the first anniversary of his Executive in office.

Some concerned members of the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party under the auspices of Edo PDP Parliament had nominated some of its members to develop a blueprint for the one year anniversary of Rt. Hon. Dr. Tony Aziegbemi as Edo State PDP Chairman.

The State PDP Chairman appealed to members to avoid matter that brings about controversy to the party and that, “PDP is an organized party that knows what to do at each point in time. There is no need to heat up the system.”

He said “Politics is about negotiations and understanding,” factors which will come to bear on the Party as it approaches every event and schedule.

The State PDP boss appreciated the initiative of the Committee noting that, “there are many things to celebrate.”

“When he was contesting for the chairmanship position he prayed to God that, if he “cannot be Chairman of a party without a Governor, God should not make me to be. And in less than a year, it all came to pass to the Glory of God. Indeed, there are many things to thank God for…”

Dr. Tony Aziegbemi said, he was pleased that, people could think out of the box to come up with the brilliant idea of marking his one year in office as the State Chairman. “Truly, there is reason to give God the Glory.”

He took responsibility for the delay in inaugurating the state caucus committee, and was quick to note that, since he resumed as Chairman, the party has been engaged in  activities from the post congress matters.

He however assured that, the party is working very hard to do the needful in accordance with the PDP constitution.

On the issue of the Local Government Elections, Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi noted that: The Governor remain focused  in conducting the election and good enough, the 2021 budget captured  it.”

and appealed to members to be patient and should have no reason to doubt the PDP led Edo Government under  Mr. Godwin Obaseki.”
