Celebration of Christmas and New year has been described as incomplete without the society properly catering for the needy and bereaved amongst them.
The founder and Global President, Child of Grace Helping Hand Foundation, Mrs. Ilaboya Josephine Omoze made the assertion during donation of large quantities of food items in selected areas in South and North Senatorial Districts of Edo State, Nigeria.
The items which included packaged rice, beans and other food items as well as large numbers of wrappers and were channeled through proxies or representatives sent wild jubilation amongst recipients whose joy knew no bounds .
Mrs. Omoze said the intention to assist the less privileged runs in her veins and that it was not the case that she and family were swimming in affluence but propelled by an ever burning desire and compassion to put smiles on the faces of needy persons irrespective of color, race or status.
The Philanthropist paid glowing tributes to her husband whom she simply refers to as a mentor, father and a passionate alley saying she intends to widen the horizon as much as God provides and urged the recipients to make good use of the items and tasked them to exhibit more love and compassion to others in their neighborhood.
The clergymen in the various Churches where the items were distributed including, Reverend Godday Osejele of The will of God Ministry, NIFOR Community, Ovia North East Local Government Area and the presiding pastor, of Assemblies of God Mission Church, Uzebba, Owan West Local Government Area, Rev. J A Ehaleudu harped on the crucial importance of celebrating Christmas and new year with giving.
Reverend Godday Osejele and Rev. J A Ehaleudu said in accordance to John 3: 16 that God so loved the world “That he gave his only begotten Son,” adding that but for such divine expression of compassion by the Almighty God, the world would not receive salvation.
The Wives of the Men of God Evangelist, Dorcas Ehaleudu and Pastor Rosaline Osejele expressed deep appreciation to the donor, founder and Global President of Child of Grace Helping Hand Foundation Mrs Ilaboya Josephine Omoze and her husband for their kind dispositions towards the needing, adding that whereas many Elites delight in flaunting expensive jewelries and other accessories during Yuletide, she chose to identify with the down trodden.
Evangelist Dorcas Ehaleudu and Pastor Rosaline Osejele appealed to affluent and well meaning Nigerians worldwide to always pay attention to the needs of the masses to make the country a better place.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Peace Osagie, Odion Momodu, Justina Afuda and Elizabeth Ujadughele ( from Ovia North East Council Area ) as well as Abraham Vero,
Dele Omage, Comfort Ohiomoba, Elizabeth Akhiromen, and Christiana Omage ( Owan West local Government Area) showered encomiums on the donor and her husband.
The comments of some of them were peculiarly touchy when they said they had come to church that Sunday not having what to eat for lunch but that God used “Sister Ilaboya Josephine Omoze and her husband to send them Manna from heaven.”
The donation of Food and other items to the needy by Child of Grace helping hand Foundation is an annual event .
