George Swain, 71, was arrested Friday at a Mattapan church
BOSTON, MA — A Boston pastor was arrested Friday on child rape charges. George Swain, 71, is charged with multiple counts of rape of a child and indecent assault and battery of a child under 14, Boston police said.
Swain was arrested at the same address as the Greater Victory Temple in Mattapan. NBC Boston first reported that Swain is a pastor there.
Swain is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning. The Suffolk District Attorney’s office said more information will be made available at his arraignment.
The Boston Police Crimes Against Children Unit continues to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 617-343-6183.
