Oba Ewuare Suspends Chief Priest, Villagehead Of Ikhuen N’ Iyanomon For Roles In Community Crisis

Great Benin King, Oba Ewuare II has suspended the Ohen Okhuaihe of Ikhuen N’Iyanomon, Nomuovbiekpen Uwague Idehen and the Odionwere, Pa Lawrence Ekenaza for their roles in the crisis in the village.

Oba Ewuare II who slammed the suspension on them in the Palace while resolving the lingering crisis in the village also directed that the Okhuaihe Shrine and the Oguedion in the village should be sealed and warned the suspended Ohen and Odionwere to stay away from any activities of the village.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Desmond Agbama during the week, the Omo N’Oba appointed the Ozukpogieha, Pa Lucky Igiebor to act as head of the village until further notice and charged him to unite the people and ensure that peace, progress and development return to the village.

The Benin Monarch warned that anyone who disobey Palace directive will incur the wrath of God and the ancestors.
