Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin has sent a message of felicitatation to Christians on the occasion of Easter, which is the celebration of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a press statement in Benin City on Thursday, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Benin Monarch, Mr. Desmond Agbama, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II enjoined Christians to use the period of Easter to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ and endeavor to emulate Christ in their daily living.
The Benin Monarch advised Christian leaders to endeavour to do exactly what they preach in order not to mislead their followers.
While wishing Christians a happy Easter celebration, the Omo N’Oba reminded them of the need to extend hands of fellowship to the needy and less-privileged members of the society.
Oba Ewuare II called on Christians to continually pray for the nation’s leaders and for the unity, peace, progress and development of Nigeria.
