My Wife Belongs To My Kitchen: Buhari Only Joking, Ays Garba Shehu

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said that his wife’s place belongs to his kitchen and that he knows not which party she belongs to.

However Malam Garba Shehu, the president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, speaking on the development on his twitter handle said the President Buhari was only joking.

The comment by the president was made during a press conference in Berlin, Germany on Friday .

Garba Shehu said the ‘President respects the place of women in our society. and believes in the abilities of women.

‘My friends, can’t a leader get a sense humour anymore? Mr. President laughed before that statement was made.

He was obviously throwing a banter.’ ‘President respects the place of women in our society. He believes in the abilities of women.’
