Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has approved the appointment of Lord Amen Osunde as Chairman, Petroleum Monitoring Committee.
According to a letter signed by Alhaji Momodu Abu, Permanent Secretary on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, Osunde’s appointment takes immediate effect.
It would be recalled that the Governor had, earlier in the week, terminated the appointment of Mr. Soni Idahagbon as Chairman of the Committee for negligence and dereliction of duty.
Other members of the Committee were also suspended and will undergo a screening before they are considered for re-engagement, according to government’s decision.
