Nigeria Military Command Has ‘moved’

buhari-armyThe Nigerian military command and control centre has now relocated to the north-eastern city of Maiduguri, the epicentre of Boko Haram’s insurgency, following directives from newly elected President Muhammdu Buhari.

“The team has already commenced work in earnest,” army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman said in a statement, adding that all senior military officials will relocate to the north east.

The military top brass was accused of being detached from the reality on the frontline, leading to slow and ill-informed decision-making, so the relocation to Maiduguri might fix that problem.(BBC)
