The Chairman of INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega, handed the certificates to Buhari and the Vice-President-elect, Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday.
Speaking after receiving the certificate, Buhari said “Change has finally come to Nigeria”, adding that the nation’s “long night has passed”.
Buhari, the APC candidate, defeated President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, in the presidential election held last Saturday.
