It was gathered that two dead bodies were removed from the inferno by fire fighters who were seen battling to bring the situation under control.
About 20 shops were touched by the fire, even as the cause of the fire remains a mystery.
Speaking on the cause of the fire outbreak, the General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, said that from the initial investigation conducted, it was revealed that petrol and diesel stored in the shops led to the outbreak.
Osanyintolu disclosed that four vehicles, five motorcycles and two trucks were consumed by the inferno. (Daily Post)
