Ize-Iyamu, Political Jewel In Edo —PDP Chieftain

BENIN—A veteran journalist and chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, Mr. Solomon Odemwingie, has described Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a governorship aspirant of the party, as a political jewel of inestimable value to the entire people of Edo State.

Odemwingie stated this in Benin, while reacting to criticisms against Ize-Iyamu by those he described as political sycophants, some of whom, he said, were new comers to the party.

He said: “Pastor Ize-Iyamu is an inspirational icon in the political arena in this state. You and I know that Ize-Iyamu will never ridicule democracy. The old and the young see him as an enormous resource person, one of the brightest and most fertile minds in the politics of Edo State, a shining light and above all, a credible mobilizer.

“Precisely, these qualities account for why the bulk of the people in the three senatorial districts are filing behind him to nominate and elect him as the next governor of the state.”

He noted that no amount of blackmail can sway the people of the state from the course of Ize-Iyamu as far as this imminent party nomination was concerned.
